Ireland is an ideal location to start a full natural cycle      snail breeding business for different reasons, principally     the climate. The application of this system to the breeding methodology also has the advantage of respecting the habitat and the snails growth process. The closed system method as developed by Agrofarma has also proven successful and depending on review one or the other method would be recommended.

Green field sites are required to start the snail farm. Additional land  would be required to grow vegetables for feed. Soil analysis is the first very important step in determining suitability.

Snails are bred in the open-air, protected from the suns’   rays by vegetation within their habitat and fed with good vegetables and with the absence of pesticides and chemicals substances. In this way, snails assume similar taste to the eaten vegetables.

Training and technical support is provided to successful applicants as they progress in setting up their farms and     on an ongoing basis as required with the assistance of our partner Agrofarma.
